Looking for performance. Alike other models in the range, the main assumption behind creating Excess 15, was driving up the performances without compromising much on comfort. The focal points during the design process were: to gain weight, to optimise the weight distribution moving most of the equipment towards the transom, optimising the sail area. All of that was intended to impress even the most demanding sailors with performances.

Powerful, yet easy to handle. The sail area to weight ratio is the parameter defining the power of the Excess 15. It is approximately 5% higher (10% in case of the Pulse Line rig) compared to competitors in this segment. The flagship from Excess Catamarans range can be handled single handed, while seated on one of the two aft helm seats. From here we have very good visibility, nearly 360°, thanks to the panoramic, wrap-around windows in the saloon.
Simplicity and comfort combined. The interiors designed by the renowned Nauta Design studio reflects the concept behind Excess Catamarans: they are simple yet elegant and modern yet functional. The inner volumes of the Excess 15 are generous, with an abundance of natural light. The layouts come in several versions, ranging from three to six cabins, giving the vessel a multifunction purpose from a family cruiser to a charter catamaran.
